What is ecoPayz 2-Step Verification?
The idea behind 2-Steps Verification is to combine “something you know” (like your password) with “something you have” (like your phone) to add an extra layer of security to your account. Once this feature is enabled on your account, anyone wishing to access your ecoAccount will only be allowed once they’ve provided your email address or username, password and the most updated code available only on your smartphone. This enhanced layer of security means that all the money stored in your ecoAccount remains safe and secure even if someone gets a hold of your emails address or username and password. Setting up the 2-Step Verification is easy and would take you no more than a few minutes.
How to enable 2-Step Verification on your ecoAccount?
Now that we've got you excited about security, here comes the really fun part – enabling 2-Step Verification on your ecoAccount.
How to use ecoPayz 2-Step Verification
The next time you login to your ecoAccount, either through the ecoAccount app, a mobile web browser or through a computer, you will need the 6-digit number that appears on your Google Authenticator app at that moment.
You can always turn off the 2-Step Verification if you believe it is no longer needed on one of your devices. Just enable the “Don’t ask again on this device” option and you’ll no longer be prompted to provide a 6-digit verification code. Please note this option will only apply to the device you are using. We would always recommend not to disable the 2-Step Verification.

Check the URL
If you receive an email asking you to click a link to log into your account, ensure you check the URL first to see if it’s genuine. This is a tactic used by online hackers looking to steal your personal data by sending you to a website that looks exactly the same as your service provider. If you're unsure about an email you’ve received, contact your service provider and ask them to verify that the email is genuine or whether it is indeed fraudulent activity.
